That’s an interesting take because I see it as Gonghyeon thought he was rejected by cheongsoon since he never showed up at the airport to give him his answer, so he spent the next 10 years trying to get over him but ended up not being able to and looking for him when he got back to Korea. I think gonghyeon grew in the sense that he excepted his love for cheongsoon which is what he was so scared of doing, and also stopped closing his heart off to the thought of falling desperately in love with someone. He also stopped being such a playboy lol. They both hopelessly kept their love for each other locked away for 10 years which is SUCH a waste, but hey they are together now and will spend the rest of their lives with one another so that is wonderful.

I feel like the journal reveal was kind of weird. Like we were just retroactively told that Gonghyeon's entire arc wasn't real because he was never going to give up on Cheongsoon and already was willing to open up to him and answer all his questions, so he didn't actually grow that much over the course of the story. I'm just gonna pretend it's not real lol
