I loved everything but I'm dumb so I don't know if I got the plot correctly.
What I think it is: there's this evil god that grants immortality to the people that give him food/sacrifices, and he eats the despair and hope of those people. And they keep those sacrifices "alive" so he can keep on eating them till the next "big" meal, and the way to do so (keeping the sacrifices alive) is by making them make "wishes" so they can kinda of dream in the fantasie that they wished. Which continually produces hope/despair The only part that I really didn't get was the eye, like, what's it purpose?
