I do hope so that the redemption arc won't end soon, I lost count on how many times I've dropped this cause of jk's fucked up personality, Ik it's fictional but maaaaan, What did Doc Dan ever do to him for jk to treat him like shit when he's the kindest person there is, I'm still sheathing but i guess i can hold a yellow flag for now
I mean, to be fair, JK treats pretty much everyone badly. He just doesn't go asking for sex to his gym members, generally. So yeah, I'm treating this like an awkwardly long, nsfw version of Beauty and the Beast, pretty much.
I'm actually more amused at the fact that Dan said JK is the only one who treated him kindly, like, bruh, is the rest of the gym inexistent? I know it's for the romance and so on, but... Did he not realise the entire gym pretty much worships him? Everyone in there likes him and appreciates him, and has done so since pretty much day one. I seriously hope author works on that, because he's far from being alone and he should know :'(
JK is the only one that goes above and beyond for Dan apart from his grandma tbh.. at first it was for selfish reasons and now in Season 2, it's his way of making amends and showing affection... Cause, everyone else saw how broken Dan was but no one directly interfered like JK did.. it makes sense that Dan will grow dependent on that attention
Yeah, for sure, but that's because their circumstances started differently compared to the others. If they didn't have so many 'special' interactions, JK wouldn't have found out about Dan's situation either. I'm just saying, aside from JK, the others also care about Dan, they just don't know how bad he has it, and that's also because Dan hides everything, always. And I'm not saying it's his fault, I just want him to know he doesn't only have JK (and grandma)
I'm like 95% sure this isn't the end of JK's redemption arc, possibly just a way for him to know that he can try to romance Dan because Dan doesn't 100% hate him AND for Dan to realize JK's apology was heartfelt, not circumstantial. Aaaand also it's pretty damn clear author wants to give us smut every so often and needs excuses to do so (personally, I don't necessarily care for it, but I understand that people also read this kind of comics for the smut, so author wants to keep every reader equally engaged)
I'm guessing we get a couple of smut chapters, then JK wakes up next to Dan and feels the shittiest ever, possibly apologises again (will they have a decent conversation for once? Doubt it, but they really should) and maybe this time when he showers Dan with attentions, Dan will understand it's affection and not just him being weird.
.......OR, I'm being delusional and this is it. But I won't believe it until I'm proven wrong, let's go team delulu!!!!
