i think it's because you "read" the placeholder. it happens to me too if i read the placeholder. when it updates it shows read
Because when mgg started returning stuff to the reading lists not everything got returned to the proper place. I think they’re still sorting it out.
Ik abt that I'm talking abt the chapters ╥﹏╥ even tho I checked it I didn't read it cuz I thought I've already read that chapter (it should be color green or white if the chapter is unread but mine is already gray)

Ah yeah I misread it! It’s probably what the person said above me. If you accidentally read the placeholder chapter it won’t notify you went the uploader updates it to the actual chapter since you’ve technically viewed it already.
Why tf is this marked as read to me??? I've been waiting for an update but the chapters are gray so I thought there's no update
