I feel like there's something more to it. You can see if from Kosack's reaction. There was at least one other who started timid and flipped like that in the tower.
There's also his abilities, which are higher than his summoned SR rank when he intuitively uses them. And his ability to summon out of tower.
There's something up with his ability beyond just summoning.
Without spoiling anything specific, I actually went to read the novel after typing this. The author actually just is hella racist/nationalistic on one hand and on the other hand writes MC to be such a beta loser. The latter being a running gag that really isn’t funny at all when it gets put into words.
At least here the art makes it more endearing despite the behavior being very obnoxious in itself. There’s nothing really deep in the story’s writing. The MC doesn’t really grow or become smarter.
VERY MINOR SPOILER
His “chatroom name” in chapter 103 of the novel is Manly Man. lol….
What a disappointment….MC is going to be like a normal person’s solo leveling ideal guy lol considering how men tend to be in korea, i wouldnt be surprised if MC was tailored to be like a “guy who doesnt do have to lift a finger but everyone wants him” type…a korean man’s gary stu of his dreams lol
Honestly disapponting to know, I like how it’s set up (being the breadwinner of a family with limited mobility ans opportunities due to introvertedness) but if he doesn’t actually grow/start trying to be better in his own terms (in reality) then what’s the point ( ̄へ ̄)
So, I got to chapter 180 in the web novel and yeah. Staying for the summons. I repeat, the summons are very charismatic and hard carry the story.
Outside of that, MC and all other side characters are pretty worthless or ignorable.
Mini review:
The story doesn’t ever get much better. I’ll definitely keep up with the manhwa cause artists always make everything cuter and bad jokes more digestible with chibis.
There’s no common sense in the plot. Like what do you mean world powers will nickel and dime 10 million USD if it’ll save their country. Be so for real right now.
It’s like the author doesn’t even understand money.
Bottom line, the main character is a loser and it really feels like the whole story reflects on the type of person this author is.
MCs flippant and hypocritical morals and decision making are very infuriating. Because of this alongside the lack of stakes, there’s quite literally never any tension or impactful character development. Everything just comes easy.
Also this author has no idea how to do power scaling or how to develop a semblance of a game system.
Anyway, to summarize the author.
Racist. A little homophobic. Very concerned with masculinity. Nationalistic. Lack of social awareness and social skills.

Fun read all around so far. It’s sort of a running gag but my only confusion is why MC is so obsessed with being “manly” in the dungeon when he knows the main priority is to stay alive and let the summons do the work. It’s so illogical and ngl, becomes a tiring gag.
