How I understood it, he didn't quite understand the gravity. The reason why he went along and helped juhyeok was purely for his own selfish reasons(by that I just mean he wanted to have sex with him because he liked him and hoped he would get to like him back). I didn't say I don't feel bad for him now, I said I felt bad before but now the situation got so fucked up I'm not sure how I feel anymore. Real, i agree the way it seems his reasoning for “helping” did seem selfish at first but as the interaction continued it became more obvious he genuinely wanted to help whilst also doing everything he could to stay by his side
This chapter made me so uncomfortable. Suah is so stupid that he doesn't acknowledge how the consequences of his actions affect juhyeok. He can't function normally, and this trip means a lot to him and his career but he can't go normally because of fuckass suah. I actually felt bad for him before but now, it's just fucked up. He knew that juhyeok wants to use him(he has all the rights to since he's the one that made him depend on his scent) yet he still deluded himself, but ig I understand why he misunderstood this situation as juhyeok didn't approach it the best way. I don't think juhyeok is completely innocent, but when it comes to this, it's all on suah. He acted selfishly and felt hurt by this that he forgot that it's all his fault why their relationship is like this.
