Hi! Tho I haven’t read this yet, I think some prior knowledge on King Yeonsan’s influence in Korean History may help!
Yeonsangun was infamous throughout Korean History for being a tyrant and having a mental disorder. But Koreans have always wondered if it’s that simple.
You see, there were a lot of official historical records (such records are “officially written” by past historians for future generations to serve as reference of what happened during their time) claiming that he was an absolute tyrant who went crazy and was always psychotic as a child.
But, there were also other records (some unofficial), claiming it’s not true and that Yeonsangun was a bright, clever and polite kid. As is already known, Yeonsangun ended up dying from “unknowingly” after being exiled.
Such contrast from different historical records led to heavy debate as to what really happened during his reign and what record tells the truth, because as everyone knows the saying, “History is written by the victors”. Not much is known about Yeonsangun’s childhood as it’s believed to have been destroyed.

I'm at ch9, I went to the comments to get some understanding of the manhwa cuz I don't understand what the plot really is and the objective of the MC, I mean he couldn't possibly be actually serious about understanding a tyrant that is not 'understood' enlighten me please lol I don't want to drop something that many people seem to be very fond of.
