read this years ago and I still think about it. yes the dad thing is hella weird and incest/pseudo incest is gross but everyone NEEDS to read beyond that. this story is absolutely tragic and so beautiful it's one of the stories that has truly touched my heart. both nanmu and pilgyun have their own troubles that are so well written that i could place myself into their shoes. bwat especially did an amazing job with nanmu's past and how it's come to affect his present mindset (him thinking of himself like an object to be used and discarded, those few scenes were so well written I was in tears). somehow, bwat even did the 'dad' thing well enough that it could be ignored (wasn't that bad) and still added a layer of depth to both nanmu and pilgyuns personalities. one of my fav read oat would 100% recommend
