this is such a good representation of loneliness, not only on the most recent chapters but throughout the series, yeoreum's loneliness is so palatable and desperate which is a great contrast with hyeoseon's representation of loneliness that has a certain taste of acceptance, like he had given up long time ago in finding someone to be with him. I feel like this shows how loneliness of not being in a relationship (either ever or for so long) is similar to grief of losing someone, you lose someone who you could be, yeoreum griefs the loneliness caused by his family and his classmates he griefs the inability of being in a "normal relationship", hyeoseon griefs his youth, his choices that he believe caused his loneliness. being together helps this "grief" both of them feel but I also makes it worse, for example, yeoreum wishes he had a family like hyoseons.
