I fear you guys aren’t used to real-world scenarios taking place in fiction, because neither of them were bad people, they parted on bad terms, and they reconnected. It’s lackluster but it’s healthy, and I like the trope of absence making a heart grow fonder. Why would you want to see a regular person grovel to make amends for something so tame? they were literally teenagers experiencing young and fickle love, demanding chase arcs and misery out of kids still in high school is ridiculous, and media literacy genuinely has to be at an all time low right now
