I agree! This arc is amazing, it’s not really a redemption or chasing arc as well, it’s a main point in the middle of their relationship. Juheon is trying to protect dohu while dohu believes he needs redemption (in a way he does but juheon’s priority isn’t dohu apologizing but him being safe) - I’m so sad that most readers don’t get this
Exactly same feeling! They both need this arc so much, Dohu to learn all these emotions, and Juheon to break through his suffering and finally understand that he's not alone since Dohu will still be by his side! And I'm tired of people who want Dohu to let go, like, isn't it how coping with struggles looks like? They both are struggling! You need to go through it step by step! But apparently everyone just want them to bang again right away, gosh!
Seriously, the fact that more readers don't get the aim of how Juheon and Dohu are dealing with their traumas and trying to overcome all that struggling, where of course both of them put the other one on the first place! It may be tough, as people's emotions are so complex, but this journey is beautiful, and I'm so glad that Hodot is doing such an amazing job showing their feelings and challenges, love them both equally!
i think the author wrote in a tweet that dohu does not regret anything he did. so, him learning to empathize with juheon is probably the closest we’ll get to that sort of redemption or sense of regret
I think that would be very consistent with his character, to not feel like full 'regret', but definitely he's definitely slowly starting to reach the phase of understanding, cannot wait for that!
idk about y’all, but i’m enjoying this arc. dohu is slowly learning the emotions juheon went through when they dated, and my baby girl juheon is finally getting chased for the right reasons. he may distance himself, but dohu is not one to back down once he sets his mind to something. so lowkey, i don’t feel any dread or angst when reading this arc ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
