to be honest, the premise was promising but towards the third act and last arc, it felt so chaotic. like wdym we had a wedding, found out iris was evelina’s sister, aslan became a god (???), and lina spent six years trying to find him. not to be picky but even after 100 chapters, i don’t feel much chemistry at all. it feels to me like they just slapped a label and said everyone fell in love. genuinely the problem with reverse harems is they don’t know how to develop relationships that feel real. cus to me it seems they all fell in love after fucking her or something.

also, it sort of felt like the author ran out of ideas because what do you mean you married leon, but had a baby with aslan. dumps the baby on leon and then travels the world for six years with the other guy (don’t even remember his name) while fucking him almost every day and neglecting your daughter. mind you, her daughter is actively in distress because she doesn’t understand why her mom keeps leaving her. all the adults are in the wrong. they should’ve at least explained that they were looking for her other dad or someone important, instead of leaving the poor six year old wondering why her mother is never home. also did we just forget lina is the empress? how was she able to avoid her duties for six years?

and then they kept reminding us how all the men were jealous of each other until the end like omg we get it. it felt so uncomfortable every time they zoomed in on a hickey. like you would think with time, they’d stop acting like lina is their possession.

surprisingly, i didn’t really give a fuck about lina. i think i sympathized with evelina too much to like lina. in my perspective, evelina should’ve stayed the female lead. it would’ve been so much more impactful if she got her revenge herself. lina just didn’t truly understand her trauma and it angered me a lot. evelina deserved her happy ending and she deserved to live with iris, they were sisters. i understand lina didn’t know half the shit that was going on but even as i finished the story, i wished evelina had never brought lina here. i wish she would’ve killed karl herself.

i saw a comment saying they hated evelina because she dragged lina into this and then decided to end her life when lina already established herself in their world. and then they said they wanted her to stay in the repeated cycle of suffering. but tbh idc lmao. evelina deserves to be a villainess. if she wanted to burn the world, go ahead. she was taken from a young age and manipulated into believing her parents abandoned her. then karl rapes her (we don’t even know how many times) and is actively driving her divine energy and her life so that he can gain her powers. she can’t kill herself and the curse forces her to sleep with men. all the while, her reputation is falling because she’s actively losing her sanity. you’re telling me you wouldn’t be evil as well?

the story was decent for the first two halves but it quickly fell upon the third act. i had to force myself to finish it. i wouldn’t even classify this as a pornhwa because the sex scenes were not that great and towards the end they got censored?? mid plot mid smut mid story
