blue lock is flawed as hell

idk if i’m just not ingrained in the fandom enough but i never hear about how flawed the concept of blue lock is when it comes to competing against these national teams, or really blue lock in general. if the purpose is to create japans best striker then why have the same character be a goalie in almost every single game and why have the bllk team go against national teams that have experienced players in their own positions like striker, goalie, defense etc. and their value goes down if they lose but shouldn’t they expect to? you can’t seriously expect a team of all strikers to win against a well rounded national team. i enjoy bllk but i can never get past how flawed it is.

Indeed. I don't think the fandom (sensible ones at least) really believes in the blue lock philosophy. Most read this manga because it has a unique take on soccer.

[Out of context but I think Inazuma Eleven was better than this]

The person above me has already explained so I won't go to that part anymore, but the reason why no one complains or talk about how fundamentally flawed bllk is bc it's been 7 years since it's release. Personally I joined the fandom 2 years ago but I reckon a LOT of ppl have already spoken abt this very same issue in the past years, esp when its popularity spiked the highest in 2022. Ofc from all of this, naturally a selection took place: those who fucked w it stayed and those who didn't left. Simple as that really
