So, this was a quantum experience for both of them and came about because of a wish that he made offhand "to basically not be alone." His dead grandmother, who raised MC, won a gamble in afterlife and ended up passing along the "book" that started all of this for MC.

Now the ML is actually older than him by double atm, because he was in his thirties in the original timeliness and went back all the way to basically middle school or something similar living his life all over again up to meeting MC. So, he's like double doing his life bored asf and basically checking out until MC shows up. The branch point was created when he regressed all the way back to when he met the guy who looked like MC. Some teacher assistant or something, don't remember though age gap was enough to make it a no go that young. The impression is that "crushes" happened between this guy/the ml and the guy who is 2nd ml in story.

The guy that looked like him ended up with a terminal illness and begged the ml as a minor no less to pull the plug and ML basically lives through that twice, being labeled as a "murderer" by second ml. Second ml is bat shiz crazy and has basically imprinted that guy who had plug pulled onto mc, but is only one who did. ML lives with this as a Regret he would do over again, half at peace and doesn't want to actually use Mc as a substitute.

Misunderstanding and unaware of the situation, Mc freaks out and basically makes kimchi stew himself about it thinking he's a substitute when Ml refused to explain. He goes to a bridge after breaking up with ml, who ignores the situation basically apathetic after confrontation happens over the substitute thing. A bystander misunderstood mc was going to jump, ml ends up the with 2nd ml and they both freak out after Misunderstanding is resolved between couple. They get together and 2nd ml loses his mind enough to attack both when denied the imprint by Mc about being reincarnated dead guy from the childhood... this all happens really fast in novel, near end.

Then 2nd ml is out in mental hospital again, apparently he was in and out of them since plug pulled incident from childhood. Ml and MC are getting ready to move in together, still in "book timeline" when an almost accident took MC out of the "book timeline" and into his real one. This left the ml alone for about 10 years or more, going insane from looking for Mc who disappeared and Mc wakes up being told he was only in coma for a year. Lotto expired by a few days, love was destroyed by timeline shift away and he thinks was a bad dream or transmigration trip happened while having a minor depression attack mentally for a few months after waking up.

He goes to a share holder meet and finds out Ml is there "in his thirties" for the second time, while our Mc is basically just a 20 something guy still who took a detour into the mls past for a brief timeline shift.

This was where confessions happened after sexy times when they were reunited in the shareholder meeting, which turned into the ml basically low key becoming softcore wanderer and trying to keep Mc as a kept boy. Everyone remembers him, but was kind of shocked meeting him again as way older than Mc atp. They become like older bros, when before Mc was during the timeline shift to their high school...so like reversing the situation. It turned out no book trip or transmigration happened and just ml/mc did timeline shifts, tho didn't explain fully why MLS happened or why he was doing a complete duplicated life for like 20 more years until he meets Mc again in original timeline. Only explained loosely that it might have been a branching point do over for him early on because of deep regret on the guy who died from plug pull. Anyway, was one fascinating bl novel and yes I read all the volumes mtl. It was fantastic and scenes were few though extremely well done. Twist with ml being so much older and no transmigration was interesting too.
