Tokiko didn't give a fuck about her daughters and for that she's already irredeemable. It's a pet peeve of mine when it comes to manga. Characters are all too forgiving of bad people, they give them too much leeway and benefit of the doubt. I hateeeeee that the story gave her a reason to hate Yako as something beyond her control. At that point she wasn't even actively being controlled by Nurarihyon when she started abusing Yako. The story should also have put emphasis on Tokiko's neglect of her daughters.
