I think that Snake!Muni is definitely lying. Because if you put the pieces together I think the soul part which was left behind was the Snake!Muni.He said the ritual with the snake wasn't successful. But I think the snake soul possessed the one left behind. And they becoming one, the soul part's obsession become it's obsession too. And if you remember, the shaman said our MC have a hole in his soul which it's proves that he is the original one and got reincarnated. About that paper bookmark though; I think that Snake!Muni who have the obsession did something to it to posses/control guys who he had a similarity too. I tried to read raws with translator but some of the font style they used at Snake!Muni's dialogues aren't recognized by the app I am using so there's information I couldn't get too...
