thiiiis omg. like they have not been living together long. Its natural when you move in together to have little things you gotta work through together. And it is on both sides, Jaeyoung has been bottling up his grievances to appease his partner which is not healthy because it will lead to a much bigger rift than if he had communicated early on how he was feeling.
liiiike hello this is very basic emotional intelligence & communication (that almost everyone will experience in some form and a lot of us struggle with ) and I applaud the author for not just making a story where they move in and everything is just perfect because that's not realistic. Also it aligns with who they a have always been throughout the series, theyre not just gonna do complete 180's in a couple months.
tbh the sangwoo hate train is giving me flashback trauma of how quickly allistic ppl turn on neurodivergent ppl. like gd y'all rlly do hate anyone that doesn't act exactly like you expect them to.

I feel like y’all are forgetting that Sangwoo is only 19 years old. This is his first relationship. It’s a gay relationship. He also has autism and a compulsive disorder. Jaeyoung has way more experience and never taught him to compromise or look at things from another angle BECAUSE that’s what he liked about him. He’s a hyung that bends to the will of his partner, reinforcing toxic relationship dynamics. His strict methods have always worked in terms of education and physical health, not realizing that humans (in the context of maintaining a relationship) are way more complex than that and require sacrifices. Sangwoo doesn’t think he’s even being selfish. He thinks he’s being rational by prioritizing his studies as the only thing he’s been good at his entire life (and Jaeyoung is just an unforeseen variable) and he tries to make Jaeyoung do the same things to increase his quality of life. Before Sangwoo met Jaeyoung, his future plans were to marry a woman he wasn’t even sexually or romantically attracted to simply for the sake of having children because of social expectations and biology. Homosexuality completely erases all of that “logic” that he’s accepted as truth the entire time. And I think that’s a big step in and of itself for a 19 year-old autistic boy with OCD. If Jaeyoung lets this behavior remain uncorrected just to appease Sangwoo (KNOWING that Sangwoo fails to understand nuances) then who’s really to blame? And sometimes humans go forwards and backwards in relationship progression BECAUSE relationships aren’t linear and we often make the same mistakes. I think people need to give Sangwoo some grace.
