I low-key wish FL to just tell Luka straight up that she wants to build her own future far away from the village and not just remain his preserved fiancé in people's mind. Luka is terrible to OG Laura, so I don't see any problems with giving him a cold bucket of reality. Like, he could have rejected her directly if he couldn't reciprocate her feelings. Or, expressing his idea indirectly by telling her about his plans afterwards as a hero--> hinting that he had no intention to have something more than friends with Laura.
