It's a pretty nice ride because all the actions the characters are taking make sense... She doesn't stay there quietly, even if she's weak she tries to escape. The ml gets to understand what is happening in his head and LEARNS, which is very important.
For me is a high score, but still I understand that the rollercoaster of emotions is hard for some people :D
Nice, classic style angst, headcanon that it ended on chapter 33 #teamCedric #orStaySingle. Trashy husband properly regrets, 1 suicide attempt but then our girle finds total happiness*. I think everything makes sense (seriously, MC planning the escape was super clever, trashy hubby only makes sense when we get to the regretting part, but that's how this genre works).
People who don't like angst and emotional torture rate it low :c
It's not a top class, but a solid 9.1 when you ran out of peak angst to read
*But tbh if you go further its only juicier and angstier, terminal illness on top of that? No amounts of therapy could explain why I'm into that, but if you like tragedy and angst, pretty nice ride
