Yes but to be fair if she was being treated like this even when she said that’s not true (which from the way she tells us the story it appears that’s what happened) of course her spirit will break. Men keep lying about sleeping with her or being seduced by her, and when she says it’s not true people never believe her anyway. What is the point of fighting after a while?

I agree with this statement. No matter how much you fight and no one listens, in the end you'll even have a worst reputation than you currently have unless one person actually listens to you to make a change. It's like talking to a brick wall so of course you'll get tired.

Have you ever felt so frustrated in your entire life because youve been falsely accused multiple times that no one even wanted to listen to you no matter how much you say and snapped back like that? Her first friend slapped her and believed the guy, anyone tired of it would've hurl something back because apparently saying the truth goes over peoples head. It's a defense mechanism.

I mean yea, but I think that was actually the first time she did that because it was the first time she got close to get a friend. She thought the girl loves her fiancé so she said that to pretend like the guy actually rejected him because he loved his fiancé. It wouldn’t be something I’d do or I think it’s smart, but I do understand this instance. Previous ones we don’t see her saying anything like this, she only says this twice, first time to the girl she thought she could’ve befriend, second time to the sister who she thought was cute and trying to protect her boyfriend. The guy even mentions this is the exact wording of what she said to other girl, so I don’t think it’s something she always does or used to. So she doesn’t act like rumors are true all the time, she just doesn’t argue back anymore since no one cares anyway, and now she just decided to go along with to protect some girls feelings.

She already lost credibility from the start -- even before the battle has started because of rumors that people eat up instead of believing her. She didn't even cry or complain, it seems she just accepted the harsh truth that no one with brains will ever listen to her. It's tiring to keep repeating your side of the story to people who won't see reason. So let's be real, even if she shouted at them the truth and do anything about it, do you think in that type of society where almost everyone believed in her rumors, they'll see her side? Nah, they'll just make up even worse rumors or like what happened when she got physically assaulted by I think the son of the prime minster or future prime minister.
