It is very realistic. Although set in historical setting. The rape in chapter 4 was bad but the butler also pretty much allowed it to happen. Feelings grew but they were still bound to family and responsibilities in their society. It’s very nice to see how characters grew and how this butler was so brilliant that he brought up/trained head of houses. And in the end they both still had their own dreams to chase and responsibilities to fulfill so they did what they did to come back to each other.
