His dilemma was more of do I risk losing a best friend over this unrequited love or stay as a friend. He knew his friend is into girls and there wouldn't be a chance of their love happening. Just because the friend isn't prejudice doesn't mean the nature of their friendship won't change after that because it directly affects them. Not every relationship works out after a confession. He rather just stay as a friend then lose a friend who was never interested.

Honestly, I couldn’t really understand the MC’s reasoning for keeping quiet about his feelings, and thus, had a hard time sympathizing. His friend wasn’t even with anyone and wasn’t actively looking despite how much he kept trying to shove a girl on him. It was actually a bit mean. He didn’t even seem like the prejudiced type, nothing shown to us indicated that a confession wouldn’t have turned out well. Was put off from the constant moping and depressed face from a circumstance of his own making. Eh, maybe I’m being harsh. I didn’t hate this, though. For me, the star of this story is the seme. His presence redeems the story a bit. He’s charming, he’s cheeky, he’s vulnerable…His reason for never confessing in his past made more sense to me, and felt like it had a greater risk/taboo involved. But, I guess this is one of the more realistic of works. We miss every shot we don’t take, and yeah sometimes our fears make us miss out on things that could have probably turned out fine, but there will be another opportunity for something else. Maybe someone else will need our love more
