I think it had potential but it tried to do everything so it ended up not doing any one thing properly. The first season was well-written for the premises imo, nothing mind blowing, but entertaining and well paced tbh.

Then it all went downhill when we hit the first side story before even wrapping up the first arc properly, it woulda been better if they fleshed it out more and either focused on the dark romance/ psychological part of it or continued weaving in plot/ wrapping up whatever happened with the cursed town and the infant mage before moving on. But I think we’ll be getting back to plot in a bit. I don’t know if it’s an issue of the author not knowing where they want to go with it or them wanting to fit too much they don’t know how to do it, or if it’s an issue of conflicting desire between the author and their team/company on where they want this to go. Maybe both

It is hilarious and also ml and MC do like each other, just won't admit it. For the mc, he has a past experience and trauma that's makes him run or just accept everything his way. For the ml, well he is just weird
