I feel the same way. I didn't follow the story initially because I dropped Pearl Boy halfway through because I couldn't stand so much suffering, and then I heard about this work that would also follow the same dynamic of suffering as the other, but I told myself I wasn't going to follow it. But lately, some things have caught my attention and, incredibly, I ended up liking the work too, and that drove me crazy because I must have been freaking out, and I thought the work was developing well and I was wrong...
This chapter gave me such a repulsion that I probably won't follow the work for a while or I'll never go back to reading it again, just like I did with Pearl Boy...
i had the exact same experience with pearl boy as well. i dont mind stories being dark and all but the suffering in pearl boy was just.....................ugh i couldnt stand it for more than 20 or so chapters. while i dont think this series is that bad YET i can defo see it going in that direction with how confusing the pacing has been.
i love this story dont get me wrong but i just find this SUPER hard to follow. idk if it's just me but it feels like the pacings all over the place which kinda makes following along kinda confusing
