The ML clearly wanted to help MC, MC is clearly need help, but he kept acting like "I'm okay" and then get hurt. ML is frustrated by MC's actions so the fastest way to make MC understand without leaving any misunderstanding is to be direct with him and just do what ML want to do.
If how he talk to MC is the problem, well MC didn't mind though? ML treat MC like a fragile thing need to be protected, what action that could be considered as 'treat MC better' then?
Yes, MC is a cutie, that, I agree. He is also kind and caring. But he didn't think much about his own safety and that made ML frustrated.
