asumiko nakamura could never. theres a lot to be said about pedophilic teachers in yaoi and how different authors handle child abuse in a medium that is stereotypically wish-fulfillment or fetish material, but this is one of those sequels that seems to be living up to just how monstrous yamagida was always potrayed as. Nagai's use of texture portrays arrested development and stolen youth in a childish and scary way that i really enjoy. My biggest hope is that yamagida does not end the story living with nagisa, there should be a second crash where he realizes he shouldnt be present in his life. Though knowing the kinds of emotions comic authors have about their characters and the way yamagida gets drawn softer as the story progresses, I worry the author only sees his happiness coming from "saving" nagisa. Not sure how I would feel about that ending, both characters deserve happiness but I don't think they can or should provide that for each other. glued to my seat, could navel-gaze forever about this manga.
