I have to agree with this. We know that those mentioned manhwas became so popular not only because of how well drawn the characters are but because of how toxic the story is and the plot is basically a cycle of SA and suffering of the uke/bottom. Some readers say, it's to a point where SA and grape is romanticize, becoming a part of the plot just to emphasize the top is a literal red flag/toxic. But knowing all this, I think it's also important to note that those toxicity in relationship is a part of the dating industry in Korea, yes there's that but... as manhwas (let it be BL, GL, and straight ones) becomes more popular, these types of things being included in plots won't go anywhere soon and it might stay like that because that's what the author and their company sees trendy and popular to the audience. And as readers, we could only have two choices.... either continue consuming this types of stories then address the problem, or drop it and recommend wholesome stories where we don't have to traumatized ourselves and even our fellow fujoshis/BL readers.
We keep getting rape scenes because people keep making rapey stories the most popular (jinx, pearl boy, painter of the night etccc) i'm out of here
