I love the novel. Their dynamics was interesting and hilarious since they fight about the most absurd things. However, im disappointed they butchered the adaptation. a lot of things were different. And this didn’t have any smut until about 3/4 into the novel. And even then it was out of necessity. The MC is no pushover. He knows when and how to fight. His brawl with the doughnut guy proves it. In the novel this was a full on brawl and the only help he had with the ML is honing his senses . He also has this interesting ability where he has a 6th sense when an esper is about to rampage . His guding also with the rampaging esper was a highlight in the novel and ML did not appear until the end where the guiding was already near finish. And his injuries their was so different than what was portrayed. He has multiple fractures and broken ribs. The novel made me cry a bit near the end. I hope this can be illustrated with justice especially when facing their traumatizing past.
