I didn’t think mc was acting like a child - I’d say the author has done a good job encompassing the emotions that come with being forced to live with a murderer against your own will. She’s had to live with a random murderer whom she doesn’t know and would obviously be paranoid about his actions, but now she is finding out he is gentle and loveable, and is faced with these conflicting emotions after realising that she is falling in love with a literal murderer whilst being blackmailed/threatened by his rich brother. I’m not trying to “prove you wrong”, and would like to hear your opinions on why you think the mc has not been reasonable ^^
they mean it’s annoying when the fl is your typical person, afflicted by traumas and never knowing what to do or how to handle a situation. she’s just an average girl any girl likely to read can see themselves in i think. especially with the contrast of her handling things much better in the beginning. its not unrealistic, but that’s what makes it annoying to someone that expected another merry psycho.
i like the story a lot for this, i rarely if ever see an accurate depiction of a traumatized victim in toxic relationship dynamics.
i can read, and she really doesn’t act like a child.
has me wondering if you guys remember being one. if you think so i’d love some examples, but everything points to her being either extremely uncomfortable, scared, or relaxing by indulging in her hobbies. she has herself together fairly well for someone dealing with such a situation, but i’m saying her assumed ‘childish behavior’ is explained by a simple victim complex and mild immaturity, like the kind autistic adults have.
teenagers and kids are absolutely retarded
this is very mild retardation cmon man
are you saying in her shoes you’d just desperately try to overpower him or make up a different lie? good chance anything besides saying you’re in love with the psycho would get you killed because of manhwa logic
or in real life in general tbh plenty of guys will murk their family
and in the fake marriage situation what the hell would you do
man this is the last story to hate on atm wait till it actually gets bad and she really DOES act like a child (soon, but i won’t spoil it)
I am talking about the first comment, you said they meant it was realistic. No, they did not. They were criticizing her without any deeper thoughts about why she is acting like that. She is not acting like a child, she is acting like any normal woman would in front of a man that she thinks is literally a killer. I never hated her, I am defending her, so I dont know why you are saying that to me in the first place. Considering all the trauma this woman has the last thing she should be called is "acting like a child" she is literally managing being threatened by a freaking mafia mf and living with a guy she thinks killed someone
I think you misunderstood them, in my opinion, what they wrote was that some people think that complex emotions and reactions are portrayed as “childish” when in reality, they would probably act the same, or worse. The commenter you’re replying to is actually on your side in this discussion, they just said it in a different way. I saw their words as “she isn’t acting like a child, but uninformed people may think that she does”. I think you’re both misunderstanding each other.
I am not talking about THEIR comment, I am talking about them saying the og comment meant a deeper analysis when they did not. They were just complaining about the fl. I am not misunderstanding them, they are misunderstanding me thinking I am calling the fl childish when I am literally pointing the ORIGINAL comment said that
It is not lack of information, it is misogyny. A woman cannot act like a normal human in a scary situation that people will already call them childish, meanwhile mls can literally be killer rapists and people will still be suvking their dick. It is not childish to be scared of living with a guy you literally think is a murderer
Ahh thank you for clarifying. I was thinking that you were replying to the reply under mine instead of the original comment, haha. Yes, I also believe there is far too much blatant misogyny in novels and comics when the situation calls for such responses as shown, but I also think that aarxnrxse’s comment was trying to get that point across, maybe in a more sarcastic way. They’re saying that people get annoyed when the fl acts like a normal person instead of a superhero, and think that the fl is “childish” when responding to trauma with a normal reaction.
No, I was replying to them saying that the og comment didn't mean anything deep besides calling the fl childish. It is so common in manhwas to see the readers have this same complain about the fls. The person replying to you implies that the OG comment meant anything besides just complaining about the fl, when they didn't. It is crazy to expect a normal person to act like a girl boss in a situation like this. Idk why people compare this fl with the one in Marry Psycho, MP fl clearly was brainwashed since childhood to be like that, to suppress emotions. This fl was the oposite, she never had a foundation to learn how to process her emotions. Besides fl in Marry Psycho literally shows sign of mental disorders explaining why she does not act like a normal person would.
i think we’re misunderstanding eachother.
never said the og commentor didn’t mean what they said, i was just providing perspective on WHY they thought that her behavior was childish when in reality the fls reaction was realistic…
when i said “this is mild retardation/stupidity” i mean the fact that she could handle this situation a lot more boldly and on her own if this was real life.
but it’s not.
i’d never let this happen to me, personally, is that misogynistic to you?
and she handles this all a lot worse later on, which is not her fault, but she makes countless mistakes from this point on when she could have changed things for the better.
and i never said ‘the childishness was realistic’, but that what was perceived as her immaturity was just her having the complex of a victim, which is true.
i literally said “they were expecting another merry psycho” BECAUSE it’s not the same, and it’s dumb they expected that from this fl, or from any when that fl has ASPD.
and i’m saying anyone that calls her stupid or childish or weak
is bigoted.
i am not misogynistic, seriously
i never said she was acting weak or whatever else
just averagely dumb, cause if i was in her shoes i’d have done everything and anything else- but im trying to give her the benefit of the doubt by saying anything other than situation would pose a more serious risk to her life (‘manwha logic’)
you need to get off twitter.
Now we’re just running around in circles.
You’re right, the original comment was just complaining, but aarxnrxse was explaining the possible reasons as to WHY they were complaining. They weren’t excusing anything, and were certainly not being misogynistic by explaining that a lot of people expect “girlbosses” in every story and complain when the mc acts in a more complex way. Please take your time when reading a reply, because you’ll probably find that most of the comments are probably expressing the same sentiment as you, just in different words.

God when I first started reading this, I thought I struck gold. I loved it so much. But now coming back to the latest updates after a while, I'm just getting second hand embarassments from how fl acts. Uni life put me back to reality cuz why tf is she always acting like a fucking child.
