This is honestly the only form of toxic yandere I accept (and love) in a serious story.
This still gives the MC enough freedom to fall in love with the ML on his own while other toxic stories just boil down to either being totally nonsensical or Stockholm syndrome, which works if that's the entire goal of the story from the beginning but that's usually not the case, lol
Sure it's still toxic. ML build his relationship on lies and manipulation but as long as he treats MC well and MC doesn't suffer mentally or physically I don't mind
I don't want to read suffering porn I just want the ML to be an absolute yandere for MC while basically treating him like a princess
This is the only yandere I accept. My ideal yandere story tbh.
Is he manipulative? Definitely. Is he a schemer? Oh yes. Does he take care of MC? Also YES.
Did he rape him? No. Did he hurt him emotionally? Nope. Physically? Oh Gosh No. Did he verbally abuse him? Nuh-uh.
Most importantly, is the MC happy? YES!
Doesn't matter if Kaname manipulated that happiness. Doesn't matter if it's built on lies. What you don't know won't hurt you.
What matters is he takes care of him, and his sister, the person he cares most about. He let him out of the house too (although with him but whatever). I bet if this has side stories it'll be about Asagi begging Kaname to go to an amusement park or something, and Kaname planning their every move and interaction when going out but still taking him.
