yeah honestly, the way the author was subtly baiting us into thinking he was about be revealed to be a villian/foil to the ML, but if you go back n read the story he did literally nothing wrong, all he did was love Woo-in and try to become successful to support Woo-in. He was just awkward, quiet, and kinda skulked around - giving us a shady impression initially. (I think he was reserved around woo-in because after working hard to become a good partner he suddenly found out/sensed that his crush had a man and felt awkward confessing to him/didn't know what to do, he knew that Woo-in felt awkward around his parents, the man he's competing with is ridiculously handsome, and knew that Woo-in might see him as just a brother since they literally had the same parents for a bit - honestly the cards were stacked against this poor guy)
