I remember reading kanawanu koi (another one of this author's works) and after 1st volume it was marked completed and when next volume was released translators released it even with the mark. It took good one or two year though. So I agree this is not the end but next volume would not come that soon.
Hope there's another volume lying around somewhere because this can't be it.
