I feel my tolerance for the ml dropping with every chapter.

He scented the mc without consent. In their world, that’s basically equivalent to assault. The mc could have gone to the police over it.

Out of desperation, the mc proposes a purely transactional relationship, the ml would continue scenting him so the mc could live a normal life and keep pursuing his passion.

The ml agrees. He’s even satisfied with the arrangement because he convinces himself he won’t fall in love or whatever.

Then, on the eve of the most important event in the mc’s career, the ml suddenly feels “used” and hurt and decides he wants to back out of their deal. Let me repeat: he knowingly agreed to it when it suited him, because he had completely different intentions for that arrangement than the mc did.

By walking away, he jeopardizes all of the mc’s hard work and his chance to participate in the most important sports event of his life. He abandons him — an omega — on the street.

Is he serious?

Playing the victim in an arrangement he voluntarily agreed to, unlike the mc, who was the one actually violated and marked?

The ml knows perfectly well that the mc’s ability to function normally and keep training depends on him and he still leaves, thinking only about himself.

He claimed he marked the mc to “protect” him from other alphas, and then suddenly abandons him alone on the street?

If the mc had run into another alpha who dragged him into an alley or a car and assaulted him, what then? Would the ml just keep crying and acting like the victim because he “wasn’t there” at that moment?

I seriously can’t stand him.
