you can read the novel here: https://azilatl.space/story/tscgasah/chapter-1-3/
I’ll explain why I think you should start at these chapters below, but I’m gonna list them first:
Chapter 115 -> beginning of first run away arc (equivalent to chapter 68 in manhwa)
Chapter 127 -> at the end of the chapter, the flashback of the MCs backstory begins and goes on for ~7 chapters (big TW!!!!!)
Chapter 134 -> beginning of 2nd run away arc / Baños arc (equivalent to chapter 72/73 in the manhwa ig??)
Chapter 158 -> hospital guiding scene
Chapter 165 -> ML finds out MC is alive
Chapters 177 to 181 -> equivalent to manhwa chapter 78
Chapter 202 -> final chapter, but there are 53 side stories— 34 of them are after a 7 yr timeskip (didn’t read the side stories so not much to say lolll)
ok so I read the novel awhile ago and only decided to finish the manhwa just recently, so do take my next words with a grain of salt.
When you say the last few chapters, I assume you mean after both run away arc are completed, but the manhwa’s pacing was bad since the start of the first run away arc. In the novel (chapter 115+), the MC’s time in the mountains is more drawn out and his feelings and thoughts about Andante are explained much more throughly. Honestly, I don’t think the manhwa did a good job depicting just how terrified he was when they first reunited (or even why he was scared). So I’d recommend starting here, because its critical for understanding the MCs fear, struggle, and later hesitation/decisions.
(Chapter 127+) The MCs entire backstory was also heavily detailed so I was suprised when it was completely skipped over in the manhwa. Tbf it’s pretty heavy stuff so tw, but it was super important when understanding his character and relationship with Andante.
(Chapter 134+) The Baños arc was completely skipped over. I don’t remember it too clearly but ik we got introduced to new characters and they played a role in a lot of things. They indirectly (?) helped the MC reflect on his relationship with Andante and his feelings toward guides/espers in general. They also help us understand how bad the gate situation in South America is. Pretty sure they could be considered the MCs found family lolll. I will say, this arc was pretty dragged out I’m usually a sucker for long chasing arcs but this one got kinda boring at times imo.
The head of NSA also gets a good amount of screentime during that arc and he has a few important convos with the MC that we don’t get to see in the manhwa— which is why I listed the hospital guiding scene. The novel makes his intentions and character pretty clear, but the manhwa makes him feel a bit more mysterious and unexplained.
(Chapter 165) Noted this chapter because the manhwa didn’t throughly adapt the scenes following it (ie the banquet). It was a lot more clearer what Andante’s intentions were, he was more distant with the MC, and other small but important things are found in this chapter and up.
(Chapters 177-181) This is where I assume you originally wanted to start reading from, though I don’t recommend since there will be a few references from past chapters that you won’t understand since they’re absent from the manhwa.
Anyways, sorry for the long text. Hope this helped you at least a little ^^
omygosh thank you so much! This is so detailed and yeah you're right lol after I made this comment, I realized I should start reading from the chasing arc first and I'm really thankful of you listing it down as well. I can't thank you enough, I hope only good things for you, you lovely human (*^3^)/~☆

Just finished rereading this but I still really love this manhwa so much not until the last few chapters. esp after Andante finally decided to stay away from Yoseop. The timeline and storyboarding in the last chapters felt so rushed TT__TT I want to read the novel from where the storyboarding of the manhwa started to be rushed, does anyone have a link to the novel and where I can start?
