i still wonder how Dan knows that the certain person is the suspect

1. That one conversation about car paint left on victim's clothes (dan and his subordinate conversation under the rain when they're investigating).
2. Professor just bought a new car
3. He's like head of a division so he probably get the privilege to look at details of which car type brought recently, who bought it, etc. He's pretty fast to connect the dots with minimum traces
