I’m not denying the FL is problematic, but that doesn't justify how her stepmother treated her as a child. Let's stop acting like her problem with the FL is just because of that, especially because she didn't even bother bringing in a child specialist when she noticed the FL acting obsessively and hypersexually. She didn't care about her at all. She purposely took her frustrations out on the FL for the faults of her husband. Ahrin complained about how her parents were expecting her to suddenly change after marriage and solely live as her fiancé’s wife or mother of his kids. We see the stepmom’s thoughts and she says she knows how ahrin feels but that’s “just what a women’s life is like”. Throughout the whole manhwa we see the stepmom’s grievances with the misogyny she has faced in her marriage yet goes on to ensure ahrin faces the exact same thing just bc she suffered. What she’s pissed off abt is that ahrin didn’t conform to the submissive character that is expected of her. What part of that screams emotional literacy to you??? It’s like you ignored every other nuance in the story and felt affronted the moment someone pointed out the stepmom’s bs.

The FL is so confusing. What is her end goal? Just when you think she’s going to move on with her life and stop giving af abt the step-mom, she starts acting obsessive. The step-mom isn’t even likable. Her emotional illiteracy is getting annoying especially bc she keeps acting like she isn’t part of the reason why ahrin is mentally unstable.
