There's a reason for that. And honestly, it's tiring to have a main character who's overly kind. Being selfish is normal, how can you fault her for thinking her own well-being is the most important? The novel is complete anyway, if you want to know why just read it.

If you want to read a story like that, read pretty much any other Marvel or DC story (although there aren’t many women superheroes there because sexism). I like having a fmc who isn’t spending all her time trying to help others, because it feels like that’s the case with pretty much every other story with a fmc in a position to save others regardless of genre, while mmcs get to try to shirk on their responsibilities and nobody cares.
Her personality is awful wow. She doesn't have a humble or grateful bone in her body. She literally became s-class, and won't even donate 10 minutes of her time into thinking about anyone other than herself. There's so few fmc hunterverse manhwa, yet she's utterly insufferable to the point i can't read this smh
