This is mostly a joke but also here are some reasons as to why she acts this way:
1. She’s trying hard to not say anything that’ll get herself killed. She can’t waltz around giving them all attitude all day, she’ll end up dead. Two of the male leads are princes.
2. She is focused on her tasks, she doesn’t have any room to actually relax (without looming threats). No relaxation = acting like you have a stick up your ass sometimes.
3. She’s just reserved. Why do a lot of otome fans insist women have to be bold to be ‘good’ female leads. (Any personality is okay, just have agency when it matters!)
She’s also being fucked over by the system and these men. (Apart from red hair dude : ) )
