Coming back again to leave a second comment (and hopefully my last) because I've been really sitting on this story for some reason. I am disappointed because with the pay off, I definitely felt I wasted my time. While someone in the comments has given explanations behind the rushed ending, I do hope that maybe *maybe* in the future this story gets some kind of revamp.
Because if the author somehow intended for Isaac to be the killer, maybe they could've set it up better? Like I saw someone theorize that the cleft chin killer we've seen sprinkled throughout was a split personality of Isaac's but.. I personally don't like that? I feel it's kinda cliche (not to say this story isn't already full of them). If anything I thought the killer was the man servant we saw with Roxy a few times (though his hair isn't nearly as dark as Isaac's/the other vampires and he would've fought back against Giselle when she confronted Roxy at the pub), I feel that might've made better sense since? Like her man servant gets a meal through the random people they rob/attack and that allows Roxy to take their goods.
Would've also been fun to fully see the plan Roxy had wanted to carry out on Giselle get turned on Carter (with them wanting to get Giselle hooked on drugs and send her to the mental hospital to he locked away). They were almost there with it considering Carter WAS the one to end up getting into drugs in order to soothe his paranoia about the killer coming after him.
I think those are my main gripes aside from getting cucked out of development with Anne and Bluebell's relationship (and figuring out what Kay's deal was LMAO) Like I said in an earlier comment, stop reading when the ex-husband gets his karma and the lovers reunite.
