I'm not here to disagree but I kinda get what the father stands for and he is actually considerate of kale because he still supported kale financially but the thing is that the father don't see kale as a perfect husband for elena, but still it's all because he dotes on his daughter and in my opinion this arc where the father disapproves them is a way where kale will even prove himself that he's worthy of elena and it would be boring if the father agreed right away
I get why her father is reluctant, but reducing Kale to “a murderer” while dismissing everything he’s done to protect her for all those years is not it either. Well we do need to stretch the plot somewhere so it’s not surprising
