Ok think they are 17. In one part of the story he says it will be 4 years until he can drink, so if he can drink at 21 he is 17. It is still a bit much for their age though. Correct me if I am wrong.

It is 20. I did it based on the USA. My mistake. I agree that it doesn’t make it much better. The average age to lose virginity in Japan is also 18-20 so it is not a normal thing for teenagers to act like that.
