I just remember the ML/C's backstory. He was the son of a man who owns a mansion. His father is known to the community as someone benevolent and hes given a lot of people jobs. The people are grateful that they send their kids to his mansion. (Idk but theres kids there, is how MC and ML met)
I just remember theres a horrifying secret that MC/L's mother is forced to endure until she became so sick from living this perfect image but haunted life behind closed windows. On her death bed, she tells her son to escape the mansion.
I think the father does rituals to the kids or suck their energy (like a demon way) or is it the energy feeds the haunted mansion kinda way forgot. And the kids just know to be grateful that they get housing and food in the manor (like brainwashed way).
It has a horror-y vibe. I forgot the plot.
