can someone explain the sis in law’s problem?

so what i’m getting is that she felt like she was only being used as a tool to birth heirs for the lapileon family. but she only felt this way after her husband passed away? i really truly don’t understand her extreme ill-will towards them because as therdeo says they offered her alimony and from what im getting the didn’t even kick her out? just super confused
