“This is the first time line and Im the main character”feels. Commoner who got the top score/lost child of emperor/ duke and knight’s interest on her/ villainess but not, befriend.
Feels like watching childhood prologue of mc. The red head and her pond chapter made feel like a cut scene from otome game childhood friend trope, “Ah–I can be just me” hahaha and since the duke have mini crush on her mother he become one of those trope “I protect you since you're similar”.
We’ll for the king, I do find it a bit off meeting with a child secretly and giving favor knowing theres no heir(ofc not knowing if he is his child) if you look at greater perspective it would cause havoc in noble world
but as a father, I’m glad his not one of those hard to get that a child need to act cute to gain affection. He is weak to children because he lost one, he even understanding to the duke and knight children when they explain why they are still at the palace and try to pour love to the right kid that forget how to depend and cry
