ok i dont know where you are now lol but basically suzuki (blonde) loves sugiki (dark hair) romantically and sexualy, but sugiki idolizes and loves a perfect version of suzuki, which is why he often calls him "the god of dance" and "the man who inspires him". once they confront their mutual sexual attraction, sugiki realizes he never properly looked at suzuki and his intentions with him. the translation isn't wrong, it's just these things are slowly revealed through the course of the manga, a lot of actions are revisited and recontextualized by the characters a long time after they happened. obviously they are both in love but they are also caught in the competing thing, gender roles, and their own different projections of each other.

I’m at the part of the manga where they can’t connect anymore and I’m confused. Is it a difference in love (I’m pretty sure they both feel at least love for each other) or is it in dynamics (they both want to lead, except I feel like they’re so used to switching between dominant and submissive roles in dance so idk). Is the translation just off?? They make it sound like the blondie doesn’t love him romantically at all.
