Yup, through his POV story, you'll find out all kinds of lovely things about him, like how he essentially created an idealized version of Maxi in his mind by using Ruth’s illusion magic on himself—slowly becoming addicted and obsessed with that image of Maxi, making one question whether he truly ever loved Maxi, or just the one in his fantasies. True love, am I right?
He can go get fucked with a cactus for all I care about his pov. I never really felt he was a "green" flag, I would have loved this story if Riftan was just kept away at wars and Maxi builds up her confidence with the support of those around her.

Yeah, ngl I feel that the story would've been a lot more interesting had it mainly been centered on Maxi as the protagonist, healing from her trauma and finding herself instead of it being a "love story." I'm so sick of the cope that fans use—that Maxi and Riftan's story is about their love "healing" each other despite the odds being against them. Sorry, but Maxi's the only one doing any healing here. Riftan, however? He just chooses to stay angry for most of the narrative, until the very end when he finally pulls his head out his ass, and admits to Maxi that he's "proud" of her. Yeah. Took you only the whole story, dumbass.

Genuinely, Can't understand how people keep taking his side. HE IS IN NO WAY a greenflag. He has NO redeeming qualities, Genuinely tried to understand but after a certain point Ik I'll just always hate Riftan. And I've come to realise why I hate him even more now. In a lot of stories where the ML is cold and aloof but not to the FL, its just a different way of saying that He's disrespectful towards everyone else other than the FL, And I dislike this so much because who is to say you wouldn't mistreat her once you lose interest in, But at least for other MLs like that their saving grace is that they treat the FL with respect. AND THATS THE THE PROBLEM WOTH RIFTAN, RIFTAN NOT ONLY DISRESPECTS OTHERS, BUT HE ALSO DISRESPECTS MAXI. So HE GENUINELY has NO redeeming qualities WHATSOEVER. This story is not in ANYWAY romantic. I mean is it just me or my standards of a romance is them being able tk communicate with each other, Actually have a normal conversation without turning it into sex all the damn time, and growing together. Its only Maxi pulling the reins in the relationship, Constantly trying to communicate with a man who only thinks Sex, Put her on a trophy, Sex, she's not listening to me, Sex, sex, Sex, Sex, Sex....... Oh did I mention, SEX? And I have to say, Riftan is ugly as hell thanks to how awful he treats Maxi with his disproportionate looking ass

Like my man I get you are mourning the death of your child and recovering from almost losing your wide. But pray tell have you actually used any of your brain cells to understand her better.
