Reading the comments, this is apparently a hot take, but, yeah, the FL is a victim. Not a perfect victim, but she is one. She had barely turned 18 when this lifeline in the form of a man approached her. The story goes out of its way to show us that he purposely removed his ring when approaching her. Yeah, she did get a lot out of this, but the black-haired guy and she were far from an equal relationship. She knew that it's messed up, and although we don't really know what is going through the guy's head, he's shown us that he can really be sweet (addicting low-key) but always draws a line, but only on his side, completely barging over every defense she could think of putting up. I just hope for myself that I would have more self-respect in a situation like that, though I have yet to feel for someone as strongly as the FL is. But I get it when people are criticizing this story; in general, the way the author frames things is, to put it nicely, not really ideal. Oh well, at the end of the day, the art style is really nice, and both guys were good eye candy, and is anyone really reading this expecting more? Thanks for reading, good morning/night <3
