Idk if it was the translation skewing the original meaning a bit but I actually had to pause and rant to myself when she shut tachibana down saying “women don’t feel arousal based on visuals like men who are basically animals” like that’s so misogynistic! Please don’t speak for me queen bc a big titty man can wear a v-neck and suddenly I’m no better than a man talking to them like it’s his face. So you mean to say if an old unattractive man and a young hot actor both got naked in front of you you wouldn’t be bothered and/or wouldn’t have a difference if there was no “excitement” bc you don’t feel anything from nakedness?!?!? That’s actually insane TT like atp in yaoi misogyny pisses me off more than sexual assault bc at least that can be plot relevant whereas why do we have to spread rhetoric that set women back esp when that is a large portion of the readers of this genre!!!!

Okok that’s enough. Anyway, defending Tachibana one more time by saying that if they don’t want someone at work talking about how you might think a stripper is sexy, DONT BRING UP STRIPPERS AT WORK?!? “Oh me and the guys are going to Hooters tonight yummmm” “hooters??? Man men just love to ogle women” “um that’s sexual harassment!!!” Like am I crazy???

Totally agree with the second point (the one about talking about strippers at work)

But honestly, I don’t believe labeling women as “less perverted” or “not inclined to be aroused based off of visuals” is misogynistic, dear. It’s definitely not a correct statement, sure! But neither is it a harmful assumption tbh… it’s just a baseless bone thrown into the midst of it. Like.. why would it be offensive to be called less of a “pervert” or whatever it was that sentence alluded to? Lol. Don’t let it get under your skin. This is definitely harmless
