seems like you have more sympathy for a rapist rather than the victim. just because someone went through something terrible in the past doesn't make it okay for them to torture innocent others. its not the fact that nobody cares for his past, its the fact that people will do awful things in these manhwas and then you guys will see a tragic backstory and excuse it and be "understanding" of rape. get a grip bro.
the rapist is a victim too i fear, but yes it does not justify his actions but well at least we can sympathize him bcs he was just a victim too. its not an excuse or anything its a backstory of a character, what's the reason why they are like that. u should understand more of the story nd characters. not tryna defend them tho i hate all if the characters don't get me wrong.
You're right it doesnt justify his actions but it does EXPLAIN it which people fail to realize, if you've never had a single good role model and better environment in your life you really will be filled with a lot of hatred and issues. I just wish people would understand this more, i agree with you. Its pretty realistic to me because they may believe it or not but a lot of criminals had traumatic childhoods too, they don't always become the "perfect victim" they may end up being an abuser too.
I don't get how ppl misinterpret back stories every single time like just take it as knowing the character more its annoying how sympathetic we can be knowing he's a rapist i agree but that is clearly not the point. and ppl b complaining expecting a literal good person in a PRISON btw. we all know how this story's gonna end up from the start nd ppl can literally js leave if they can't handle a rapist's aka a VICTIM too, backstories.
First off, don’t act like I just said to let him out and that he’s a great person. His actions are horrible and he should definitely rot in jail. What I’m saying is that his backstory reveals that he genuinely never had a chance to be a good person. He was already in a seriously abusive household with his dad and the events following all the way up to the end of the chapter reveal a lot about how he acts today.
There’s a difference between having an understanding about how someone’s past/childhood can affect their future and mindlessly dismissing an horrible abusers actions bc of their past. I got pissed off bc everyone was acting like he just genuinely chose to be a bad person when he was quite literally never ever given a chance to be anything else, even though that doesn’t change the fact that he IS a bad person
