The story isn’t even finished yet. Everyone needs to chill

Some people are interpreting this chapter alone as Ian not going to Jo and immediately assuming he rejected Jo because he didn’t love or care, then jumping to the conclusion that TJ is the EG. But if you read carefully, what Ian said to Jo can mean something entirely different.
It can be seen as Ian rejecting himself for Jo’s sake. He’s thinking about Joseph’s life, his future, and the people around him. If Ian chose to live with Jo in his current state and mindset, he would likely feel like he’s dragging him down or blame himself for whatever happens in Jo’s life. We can see that clearly in his monologue: “I don’t deserve Joseph. I’m unworthy. I’m worthless.” That shows how deeply rooted his trauma and self-worth issues are.
When Ian says he “found his destination,” it can also mean that he has finally found his true self, his own goals or purpose. But he wants to start over alone, free from external influences and his past. This chapter is about Ian choosing himself first.
Everyone seems so caught up in the romantic angle that they forget the importance of character development.

They're not ready for that conversation hon but yeah, that's the reason why he's not going with him. Even if he 'must' be in a relationship at the end of the story, his personal journey was what most fans invested in this. It has to be more than just being with a man lol

Yeah, I know. Yesterday I didn’t expect someone had a one-sided beef with me lol.
We’ll eventually find out who the endgame is, but this story isn’t just about Ian finding his true love. It’s about Ian’s journey. His character development shouldn’t depend on or be defined by the 2 MLs. Ian as the MC, is the navigator and the driver of his own journey.

Ian is the MAIN CHARACTER so he of all the characters NEEDS healing, overcome his traumas and have a peaceful life in the end.He is the only one who suffered the MOST. But some stans wants him to relapse, choose the same man who was the cause of all his sufferings and suffer the old 20 year old trauma cycle again wat can we even say. As long as their fav is endgame, it's enough for them

They have the 'I can fix him' illness lol

Ian doesn't need someone to complete him. He's his own person on his own journey. He suffered so much. Addiction after addiction, neglection, self sabotaging, self harming in a way too, never a first choice, ... Never feeling enough or worthy.

He needs to be separated from these two men that in very distinctive ways define him and he needs to find himself again. Remember that he had once dreams and goals. He's not TJ's always loyal man or Jo's ideal person. He doesn't need that pressure anymore.

Hopefully he'll travel a lot and be free from everything.

I know some of them only see Ian as a “trophy” for their favorite man. That’s why most of their discussions focus on the so-called “20 years bond,” avoiding the psychological aspects of their relationship or oversimplifying it to “they love each other, even if it’s a toxic bond.” According to them, TJ just needs to be honest with Ian and quit the gang and then magic: they can live happily ever after hahaha. As if external forces were the only problem in their relationship, completely disregarding the repercussions. They even have the audacity to psychoanalyze Joseph’s character and portray him as an evil character lol.

Yes, I want to see Ian’s self-healing journey arc involve traveling, spending time in nature or going on mountain adventures + therapy lol. Like discovering the real world for himself and learning to make his own decisions for his own sake, figuring out what he likes and what he truly wants in his life without the influence of the two MLs.
